Horror-Bass producer Waxteeth presents new single ‘Losing My Mind’ featuring alt-metal band We Are The Catalyst

Waxteeth's productions revolve around ominous melodies backed up by ambience straight out of horror flicks, the combination giving the producers work a sad yet creeping feeling. Big grinding basslines, chopped up and twisted around, guided by a pumping beat, makes you feel like you’re strapped to the cart of a haunted house ride going double speed.

After dropping his new single 'Momentum’ on Dec 10, the second release from a collection of dark electronic offerings in upcoming debut EP 'The Inevitable End' that is due late 2022, Waxteeth starts the year by presenting a new crushing bass single featuring alt-metal band We Are The Catalyst.

The name "We Are the Catalyst" is a call to overcome and challenge the darkness in ourselves and in others, to continue to fight in a difficult, dark world. The group was formed in Varberg, Sweden in 2012, with the intention of being a light in the dark for those who need it the most, to encourage their listeners to be the best version of themselves, even when it seems hopeless. In just a few years, the alternative metal / rock trio consisting of Cat Fey, Kenny Boufadene and Håkan Strind, have managed to attract a lot of attention for their unique mix of rock, metal, pop and electronic elements that are woven together in a strikingly natural symbiosis.

Soon to release their fourth full-length album ‘Perseverance’, the band tells us on the new song with Waxteeth: “It’s a lot of fun to be working with Waxteeth again. The remix Waxteeth did on our song ‘Set the World on Fire’ greatly exceeded our expectations and so we didn’t hesitate for a second when the question of a new collaboration came about. The track is heavy, catchy and cool and fits us perfectly! We’re really looking forward to releasing it, it’ll be a hit!”

In ‘Spirit Break’, the first offering from the upcoming EP, Waxteeth dramatic and gritty productions met the smooth and refined soundscapes of Swedish multimillion streamed producer and artist MVRE. Second single 'Momentum', in contrast to its predecessor, gave us a taste of a rougher and more untamed sound. Deepening that heavier sound in this new single 'Losing My Mind' with grinding distorted guitars to heart-rattling bass and a heavy unyielding beat, Waxteeth emphasizes the darkness that accompanies his creeping apocalyptic aesthetics. Talking about his new track, Waxteeth tells us: "We all have bad days and sometimes it feels like they just don’t end. It’s so easy to get caught in it, it feels like you’re losing your grip, stumble and suddenly the darkness hits you like a wall of noise. That’s this song, it lures you into the dark and then hits like a wall of noise."
