Waxteeth's grinding single ‘Momentum’ in new powerful Drum & Bass remix by Zardonic


Waxteeth's productions revolve around ominous melodies backed up by ambience straight out of horror flicks, the combination giving the producers work a sad yet creeping feeling. Big grinding basslines, chopped up and twisted around, guided by a pumping beat, makes you feel like you’re strapped to the cart of a haunted house ride going double speed.

After dropping his new single 'Momentum’ on Dec 10, the second release from a collection of dark electronic offerings in upcoming debut EP 'The Inevitable End' that is due 2022, Waxteeth starts the year by presenting a new adrenaline-pumping drum'n bass remix of 'Momentum' by the musical genre outlaw and energy-visionary Zardonic (Bullet for my Valentine, Smash into Pieces).

Whilst drum'n bass and metal have evolved along completely different historical trajectories and draw distinct crowds to unrelated events, they share a stylistic rooting in raw, unadulterated energy and an unabashed tendency to reside on the fringes. Neither are mainstream, both make you want to move and the inherit message is one of creative expression without boundaries or limits. It’s this rejection of boundaries which defines Zardonic and his mission to stir the sonic melting pot and cultivate a sound that resonates with music fans who worship energy above all else is manifested in this new remix. In ‘Spirit Break’, the first offering from the upcoming EP, Waxteeth dramatic and gritty productions met the smooth and refined soundscapes of Swedish multimillion streamed producer and artist MVRE. 'Momentum' is in contrast to its predecessor untamed and rough. Its heart-rattling bass, in ruthless agreement with a heavy unyielding beat, delves deep into the abyss and presents us with a darkness that well accompanies the artists dark, post-apocalyptic aesthetics. Talking about his new track, Waxteeth tells us: "Momentum is just that; movement and speed. The fact we’ve started something that is going so fast we can’t stop it. I felt that it was fitting to represent this with a mix of retrofuturistic synths reminiscent of the 80’s and the grinding electronic sounds of dubstep. Better buckle in cause the future is coming up fast, and with it, the inevitable end."
